• Where can I buy authentic Himalayan salt lamps?

Right at Himalayan Salterz. Every lamp of our collection is hand-carved from genuine Himalayan rock salt, sourced from Pakistan, with no dyed or reconstituted salt used in any of our pieces.

• What is a Himalayan salt lamp made of?

A solid, hand-carved piece of rock salt with a small bulb fitted inside. The salt itself is naturally pink to orange in color from trace minerals, not from added dye.

• Are salt lamps safe for pets?

Generally yes, with one thing to watch: pets are sometimes drawn to lick the salt, which can be a concern if over done. Placing the lamp somewhere your pet can't reach it, especially with a standing or wall style, solves this.

• How long do salt lamps last?

The salt itself doesn't wear out under normal indoor use. The bulb is the part that eventually needs replacing, which is why we sell replacement cord and bulb assemblies separately.

• What's the difference between a salt lamp and a salt detox dome
